Documentary Family Photography – Mandeville, Louisiana

I was so excited to shoot the Autin family’s documentary family photography session in Mandeville. I have known Mandy since high school, so it is always fun to visit with her sweet family. What I love most about documentary family photography is having the opportunity to see how families interact with one another, instead of the strict posed family pictures. Mandy’s daughter Emma has the most gorgeous hair. I think Emma knows it, too! ¬†Throughout our session I would catch her flicking her hair before she would do something so juxtaposition to being a girly girl, like when she hit the tee ball right at me. Ty, is all boy. He never stops moving, playing and climbing. But, that doesn’t stop him from stealing his big sister’s pink tricycle! The key to getting a portrait out of Ty is to ask him to balance a ball on his head. When the ball drops, he gives you the most beautiful smile.
